Breanna Christopher
Breanna has nearly ten years of experience leading nonprofits in launching programs and campaigns that empower underserved communities & support ambitious missions to eradicate barriers to equitable education & community resources. Prior to joining AidKit as a program manager, Breanna served as the Associate Director of United Parents and Students, where she led the organization in executing high impact campaigns around issues such as homelessness, affordable housing, livable wages, and public safety. Having begun her journey as a high school math teacher, Breanna is most proud to have launched a program that has trained over 100 high school students in the practice of community organizing, and led them to victory on influencing historic local policy change. In addition to her leadership in the nonprofit sector, Breanna has served as a birth worker in her community for the past 7 years, offering full spectrum doula services to birthing people, with a focus on first time preconception care and loss support. Breanna has a BS in Psychology from Howard University. She is currently pursuing her project management certification (PMP).
OUTSIDE OF WORK
Breanna is an avid reader, blooming writer, and lifelong dancer. She is also a professional hobbyist and loves learning new skills like drumming, DJ-ing, boxing, and more!
